All Junior High school lessons and communication will come through Google Classroom.  If students or parents are not receiving information and/or need additional assistance with classwork, they should email or message their teacher through Parent Square.

As we are heading into online learning, I thought it might be helpful to have a homework station checklist.  The checklist gives suggestions of items that students may want to have on hand in their at-home work place.   Students do not need to have all the items on the checklist — they are just ideas.  I also am including a simple daily planner sheet to help students organize their days.  I will be placing both of these items on my google classroom as well (Class with Carmack 7 and Class with Carmack 8)

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at any time!

Sample Schedule – The schedule could work perfectly for your child — or you could take it and tweak it to fit your child’s needs.

Here is the link for the Valley View Junior High School Library Website.

There students can find links to download eBooks and Audiobooks to their devices through:

Sora App

username: first.last
password: student ID (lunch code)

And if we don’t have the book you are looking for, you can submit an eBook request to and I may be able to purchase it to add to the Library!

INFOhio is a great resource for students and they have a continuously-updating web page packed with resources and lesson ideas for teachers but parents can browse the links either for support on specific lessons or for enrichment ideas: Keep Calm and Carry On with INFOhio.

INFOhio logs you in automatically based on location but occasionally there are times it will not. In that event, the username and password are as follows:

UN: Valleyview

PW: Spartans

If you have a GermantownDayton MetroFranklin-Springboro or Washington-Centerville Public Library card you can download eBooks from them as well. Those sites also have some educational and fun sites for students to visit during school closure.
